I genuinely thought that my UK summer festival season was over, but thanks to My Cause and some ridiculous good fortune, I was able to attend We Out Here festival in the beautiful Dorset estate of Wimborne St Giles.

We Out Here is a four-day festival curated by BBC Radio 6’s Gilles Peterson, bringing together everything from soul, hip hop and house to jazz, afro, electronica and plenty of stuff in between. There’s also loads going on away from the music, with wellness, family and cultural activities all part of the festival.

Would I like the music?
Would the volunteering be worth it?
